Giving Tuesday:
Bunkbeds for Foster Children!
The Why:
At Homes of Hope our goal is to meet the needs of foster and adoptive families by providing them both physical resources and brief counseling and training. Caregivers go through a lot to care for the vulnerable children and youth in our community and they need our support to continue to do so!
Through our Hope Room Program, one of the resources foster caregivers often ask for are bunk beds, bed frames, and mattresses for the children & youth being placed with them. This year in particular we have seen a LARGE increase in these type of requests. Since the beginning of 2025 alone, we have given out 3 bunkbeds, 9 mattresses, and 5 bed frames to caregivers in our community!
That’s where you come in!
Bunkbeds & mattresses are an extra expense most caregivers do not anticipate and while we have managed to meet these needs to date, having a dedicated bunkbed fund would give us the opportunity to provide more beds to more families.
How You Can Help:
This Giving Tuesday, we are inviting our community to help us create a dedicated fund for 10 bunkbeds/bed frames and 20 twin mattresses so we can continue to meet the needs of foster families in our community. Each complete bunkbed setup, including a twin bunk frame and two mattresses, costs about $340.
Your generosity will go directly to our Bunkbed and Mattress Fund helping to equip caregivers with the bunkbeds, bed frames, and mattresses they need to provide a safe home for these children.
Not everyone can be a foster parent, but everyone can help care for the vulnerable children and youth in our community.
