Serving Foster and Adoptive Families
Holiday Office Closure:
Our office will be closing for the Christmas holidays starting Wednesday December 17, 2025, thru January 5, 2026. During this time, we will not be able to fulfill regular Hope Room Requests until we return on January 6.
However, if you have an emergency placement and need items in order to be able to take your foster child, please email admin@homesofhopeidwa.org. and we will respond as soon as we can.
Thank you for understanding! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
It’s all about the children
Approximately 1,500 children are in foster care in Idaho and 10,000 in the state of Washington. The majority of children in foster care have experienced trauma due to exposure of abuse, neglect and abandonment.
Homes of Hope believes all children deserve a safe and secure, loving and nurturing family.
It’s all about the families
Foster parents can be relatives or nonrelatives taking steps to care for children who have faced trauma and neglect in their young lives. Foster families try to provide children as much care and normalcy as possible. Homes of Hope fills a gap with personal involvement, spur-of-the-moment resources, education and support when a child is placed in their home.
GET INVOLVED
Not everyone can foster, but everyone can help! There are many ways to volunteer at Homes of Hope, as we all work together to provide safety, support and love for families in our community impacted by the foster care system.
OUR PARTNERS
We have a generous community of giving people! We partner with professional businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals that help us fulfill our mission. Together we can make an impact on the face of tomorrow.
“Every kid is ONE caring adult away from being a success story.” ~Josh Shipp, former foster kid
